In the bathroom, plain white tiles line the walls and ceiling. The floors are natural stone and the fixtures are by VOLA. Lassen built the sink himself.

Modern bathrooms were installed using natural materials and simple fixtures.

The primary bathroom was expanded and relocated where a closet used to be. A high window brings in northern light, and new shelving provides additional storage.

Vintage stump side tables from Facebook Marketplace sit beneath Lichen sconces 'Sconce no. 1 by Aidan Elias.' The wall art is a vintage Japanese Boro patched Sashiko Quilt.

Walls and closet doors are wrapped in the same flat-planked pine used throughout, and the bed covering is the Studio Ford 'Toledo Quilt.'

Emily's favorite vintage 1960's ceramic Arnels mushroom lamp sits atop a custom plywood built-in dresser.

Emily designed the floating vanity and had it painted in Benjamin Moore 'Baked Terra Cotta,' with a Duravit sink top.

The art on the wall of the living area was painted by Mikei to complement the green color palette. The bust and couch are from CB2, while the rugs are from Mush Studios.

This alcove beside the entryway is where Shabu Shabu sleeps. The dog bed is from Dusen Dusen, the mirror is from HAY, and the wall hanging is an IKEA rug that the couple uses to cover an electrical outlet.

A multipurpose room—used for everything from client presentations to tea parties—includes the couple’s workstations at one end. “We welcome clients here,” says Mai. “Usually they’re surprised at our small home office.”

The Saraburi Marble Lighting collection by Robert Sakrachand started as a conversation between New York-based designer Hannah Bigeleisen and the N Wisana marble workshop in Saraburi, Thailand. "We brought Hannah's hand-drawn blow drawings to Thailand and asked the artisans there to render them in local Thai marble, resulting in a series of graphic lighting that's a mix of both Hannah's personality as well as Thai material texture,

A cantilevered staircase with tread and railings composed of translucent steel mesh now connects the second and third floors.

“We call it the Traveler because it will travel to you, you can travel to it, or you travel within it, into your own healthy world," says the Coexist team.

The cottage is located on a site just over an hour from Gothenburg and two-and-a-half hours from Oslo, Bohuslän was the ideal location. “We immediately fell in love with the slightly hilly site and its location along a narrow dirt road with cows grazing on the other side,” says Helena. “Until then, I had never thought of building a summer house but when we got the chance, we just had to take it. Especially when my old friend Susanna said she could design a house for us.”

This region of Sweden is known for its artists and craftspeople, and the cottage was constructed entirely by local timber- and stone-workers. The stone stool on the deck was also made for the couple by one of their friends.
