The guest bathroom includes a concrete wall and pale yellow tiles from Daltile.

The Tini M bedroom is surrounded by windows. The initial structure includes a bed base with drawers, bedside tables, and a wood stove.

The kitchen has Ikea cabinets with Colonial Bronze hardware that “elevates” them, topped with honed Carrara marble counters. Holly is familiar with using a high-low mix for clients. The stools are by PNW maker Phloem Studios and the ceiling lights were sourced from OneFortyThree.

In the primary bedroom, ten-foot-tall doors from Sierra Pacific open to a patio.

The same oversized doors are in the primary bathroom, alongside a soaking tub from Victoria & Albert and porcelain In Essence “Sabbia” tile.

The patio outside the primary suite is made of bluestone pavers. The gabion walls were “a cost-effective way to build retaining walls, which we needed because of the slope, and for privacy,” says David.

"The idea for the shower room is that it would be like a retreat," Eric says. "There is a long hallway between it and the bedroom, so it becomes an intentional procession every time you want to get there." The floor is a large-format tile in a geologic-inspired pattern. "It almost looks like it's full of fossils," Eric says. He and Emily populated the room with green plants for a natural layer of color.

The yard feels secluded thanks to solid fencing and a buffer of dense greenery. Benches by Angel City Lumber, stacked on stones and all from Molly’s home state of Oregon, create a seating moment to look back at a towering cork oak tree. The pavers and Adirondack chairs are all from OR.CA

Inside, Graff restored cedar planking and added new walls and floor panels. The kitchen features fresh Fisher & Paykel appliances, while an original slanted wood wall with a built-in credenza defines the dining room. “We brought in Corian and used wood planking and terrazzo, since that was a big thing in the 1960s,” the architect says.

Likewise, the guest bathroom boasts Fireclay tiles and Kohler fixtures.

The bathrooms were modeled after Japanese ryokans. Here in the main bathroom, muted Fireclay tiles clad the shower, which features a built-in bench and Purist fixtures from Kohler.

The breakfast nook features a custom table with a terrazzo top from Concrete Collaborative, and the pendant above is by Kuzco. A wall hanging from Caralarga commands the entryway.

Objects from Mexico sit on an accent table by Zachary A. next to a lamp by CB2. Emtek door hardware adds a polished touch.

A modern rug by Nordic Knots sets a muted stage for the Lena coffee table by Hedge House. The teak Grooves TV cupboard is by Ethnicraft.

The primary bathroom continues the white oak casework from elsewhere in the home, with walls in the same white Dekton material as the kitchen counters. The dual sinks are separated from the wet chamber by a swinging glass door.

In the kids' bathroom, Fireclay Ogee Drop tile in two shades of blue brings a pop of playful color.
