In addition to serving as a terrace, the flat roof affords Emi the opportunity to expand the house upward someday, but for now she uses it for her yoga practice. “When I’m in Argentina, I come here every week,” she says. “I like that the boundaries between the interior and exterior living spaces are not clearly defined, just as I like that the weekends and weekdays blur into each other when I’m here.
The small square bathroom has floor-to-ceiling mirrors and frosted-glass windows. Emi admits this might be off-putting for guests, but her focus for the house was to serve her personal needs when she’s there alone, to feel unrestricted and open. The custom baby-blue sheet-metal sink is designed by Manasseri Depetris.
