“I’ve always been crazy about tile,” says Jessy, which is why she was heartbroken when she found the 1961 powder blue tile in the master bathroom had been scribbled on with permanent marker. “Turn right for cold water. Turn left for hot,” the wall read. The new tile is by Ann Sacks. “We tried to source products that looked appropriate for the period,” Jessy explains.

The tiles in the bathrooms are by Clé Tile and Zia Tile.

Original blue tile lines the counter and backsplash in one of the two bathrooms.

"In the bathrooms, the oak flooring is replaced by ceramic tile, which covers floors and walls," explain the architects. The colors of the square tiles changes depending on the bathroom, but remain simple and straightforward.

The main bathroom features a soaking tub, Hansgrohe faucets, and bathroom tiles from Heath Ceramics and American Universal Penny.

The newer downstairs bathroom features textured sky-blue tiles that nod to the natural ceramics Rose loves.

The colorful Porter Teleo wallpaper and custom, commissioned shower curtain in the kid's bathroom is offset by a funky white and charcoal tiled floor.

A look at the downstairs powder room. The Lillången sink and cabinet from IKEA, while the faucet is from Kingston Brass and the medicine cabinet is by Kohler and the toilet is by Toto.

A freestanding Kohler Ceric bath anchors one side of the emerald-tiled bathroom.
