While much of the furniture was part of Ginger’s collection, the stools at the kitchen island were custom made by local woodworker Evan Boyle of Burl & Barrel to accommodate the unusually high bar counter. The coffee table is from local midcentury shop Hawaii Modern.

“We use one of the walls in the great room as a screen for the projector. There are no screens in the house,” says Nathaniel. “There is a TV in the primary bedroom but it's hidden away in a credenza. I just find those things to be a distraction, but they are enjoyable when it's the right time.”

The banquette upholstery fabric is Tonic Living, paired with an Eames conference table and vintage Knoll Breuer Cesca chairs. The windows above the banquette open to the screened porch.
