The asymmetrical vanities on opposite walls in the primary bathroom feature stone tops and backsplashes with a chiseled free edge -- a detail that came together from the collaboration between Fowlkes Studio and their clients. The free edges were designed to evoke broken stone and be different from each other, the edges reflect in the opposing mirrors.

The living room features a number of contemporary pieces of art, contrasting with the more traditional Persian-style rug on the floor. The marble fire surround is a custom design.

The circulation now moves through this portion of the kitchen, but the cook is protected by the U-shape on the opposite wall. The niche is a functional spot for making coffee or kids' lunches, out of the main cook's path.
