The old wood-burning fireplace in the living room (age unknown) was purchased from another nearby property.

The yellow (which appears lighter in the images than it is in real life) was used on the wood-paneled interior walls of the bedrooms and other details like the headboards and wardrobes.

Alison and Jay Carroll took the desert home down to the studs and rebuilt it with smooth plaster, custom millwork, and an outdoor shower and tub.

The 300-square foot living room is located on the main floor and overlooks the front yard; it opens up directly to the entryway and into the dining room.

Hannah and Rami laid out the living area to face the television, which hangs above a restaurant-style metal shelving unit from Webstaurant. The sofa is an Ikea piece the couple had previously, and the rug is from West Elm. The floor lamp is another vintage piece.

Warwas cut the ADU bathroom mirror to accommodate the Niveous sconces. “That was a fun detail that Antonio and I came up with,” he says.

The color of the bathroom tiles calls back to the kitchen’s color scheme and the cork floor in the parlor.

The dining nook in the kitchen is a favorite hangout spot, as is the nearby patio, which has teak furniture from Neighbor and opens onto a garden designed by Aly Rae Hanson.

Glass walls bookend the kitchen/living area on the entry level, connecting the space to a patio and terrace.

Architect Gabriel Montañés brought in marés sandstone and indigenous plants to restore a 19th-century family home that sat abandoned for decades.

Valspar ‘Black Evergreen’ covers the beams, doors, and trim. The perimeter counters are concrete, by Cement Elegance.

A creek-side sauna and hot tub round out the amenities at Snow.

The counters are ‘Dekton Aeris’ Cosentino and the white oak cabinets from Reform.

A skylight was added to bring in more light, and the existing ceilings painted Benjamin Moore ‘Black Tar’ for contrast. The island pendant is the Schoolhouse Ray 17” Pendant and the stools are the Artek Aalto High Chair K65.

Inside, the couple's vintage organ anchors the space. A new pink sofa from Interior Defined is one of the only new items purchased for the home; most are vintage or pieces the couple inherited. The rug is a vintage horse blanket the couple picked up at a flea market in Kansas, and the white chair is a piece they found in a friend's old building in Corsicana, Texas.
