The new kitchen is defined by a 14-foot island and bank of windows overlooking the backyard. The counters are stainless steel and maple butcher block. The ceiling sconces are Cedar & Moss.
In the kitchen, an âAlpine Mistâ Caesarstone slab tops Alder cabinets. A mint green custom steel hood conceals a Vent-a-Hood insert, and Ann Sacks âContextâ tile in Frost covers the backsplash.
Donât skip over the layout. âThe most overlooked thing in kitchen design would be space design/planning,â says Curtis Popp of Popp Littrell Architecture. âNo amount of expensive materials can compensate for a lack of foresight.â
Alcoves and open shelving in the kitchen allow dishware and other accessories to be on display.
