Before inhabiting a 2,000- square-foot space on N. Highland Avenue in Marfa, Wrong—the brainchild of Camp Bosworth and Buck Johnston—thrived for years in an 1880s adobe church and parsonage.

"In some ways the strongest attributes of the house are probably the outside spaces,” says Court. The original cedar deck was replaced with Kebony decking that wraps around a century-old cherry tree. A pair of Andy rockers from Mamagreen face an ottoman by Kenneth Cobonpue. The accordion doors are a NanaWall SL-60 system that allows the main room of the guesthouse to open completely to the deck.

Without propane, this dwelling in Big Sur would not have been able to take advantage of the stunning landscape.

The home’s outdoor areas offer impressive panoramic views.

Before: "The house had this linear vaulted ceiling running through the entry and dining/living," says Wittman. "That part was really dramatic and wonderful, but dated with older materials."
