The door to the powder room is inset into the wall, and the slatted wood treatment running along the base extends to the storage on both sides.

The powder room is encased in mint green marble sourced locally, and used throughout the project.

The study has floors covered in local terra-cotta bricks, and custom oak sliding doors. The couple will open the room up to the rest of the home if they're having a large party.

The cabinetry hides away Nikita's book collection, and she uses the open shelves to curate different displays.

The dining room also has the locally-sourced terra-cotta flooring with a Polo Pendant Light from Name Place Animal Thing above the custom table, designed by Kaviar Collaborative.

Kaviar Collaborative worked with kitchen consultant, Anjali Shah from The Kitchen Artisan, on the kitchen design.

The architects used traditional lime plaster to create a wainscot in the room. The bed and bedside tables are custom-designed by Kaviar Collaborative.

A curving window seat made of locally-sourced marble flanks one side of the room.

A fireplace in the living room features glazed clay bricks from Swedish manufacturer Tegelbolaget. The dining table and chairs are by Kristensen & Kristensen.

“All our inspiration was France, Italy, Morocco, Greece—just not England,” says homeowner Leila D’Angelo. “We deviated quickly from the idea of a ‘renovated Victorian house’ and leaned into something much more Mediterranean, because that’s what felt authentic to us.”
