The custom kitchen millwork is designed by reBuild Workshop, and fabricated by Custom Lotus, with quartzite counters. The high stools in white oak are by Space Copenhagen.

A door system can turn the end of the living space with the Murphy bed into it’s own guest room.

The banquette has a CNC-routed cherry wood alcove. The Stellar Nubela pendant above the dining table is by Bjarke Ingels Group for Artemide.

The smoked glass walls of the sauna are a pointed sharp contrast to the kitchen’s lighter custom cabinetry. The ceilings are American white oak.

That reveal is repeated between the custom perimeter cabinets and counter, the latter made of “Pearl Gray” Corian which was color-matched throughout the apartment.

In the entrance, a team with the general contracting firm Martha uncovered an abstract mural that Engels painted himself and then plastered over.

Dolce sits on a vintage 1950s couch he found at a thrift store in Asbury Park, New Jersey. Dolce and Burnham had the couch and the Donghia armchair recovered in a stain-resistant Sunbrella fabric by Andrew Grossman Upholstery. The Flokati rug was picked up at a thrift store in Florida. Hanging on the wall behind Dolce is a piece of art by British painter Tom Hammick.

Light pours through clerestory windows in the master bathroom. Staying true to the home’s overall aesthetic, Sweet used simple, contrasting materials—white oak for the cabinets and Ann Sacks white tiles for the walls.

The dining area features a vintage Eero Saarinen Oval dining table, Omar De Biaggio Bacco chairs from Design Within Reach, and an Acorn pendant by Atle Tveit for Northern.

A switchback staircase accommodates a grand piano handed down from Anton’s father.
