The pixelated shelving system, made of birch and acid-etched mirrored glass, as well as the cantilevered desk, were customized for the Woolford’s space. A large glass sliding door framed in white oak separates the addition from the rest of the home. The chairs are from Ikea.

The living room is warmed by a Morsø 1440 cast-iron stove and features a pair of calfskin folding seats that are original to the house.

By removing walls and a counter peninsula jutting into the room, interior designer Corine Maggio was able to create enough space for a generous island. The stove wall is a fitting focal point with a hood vent accented in tigerwood and a quartz slab backsplash that helps to tie the space together.

Selje nightstand by Ikea, $30 Cheap and cheerful, this bright blue side table has a notch cut into the drawer for out-of-sight phone charging.

The custom artwork is from LUMAS and the bedside tables are Chelsea Textile. The apartments also contain Bosch washers and dryers.
