A splash band of black Richlite wraps the base of the building to protect the timber siding from the snow and rain.

This home is a relaxing retreat for a large family that will be enjoyed for generations.

A large pool is located on the east side of the residence.

The modern pool house emphasizes indoor/outdoor living. Landscaping was done by Eschenfelder Landscape Design.

Attached to the pool is a single pitch steel-framed pavilion with an outdoor kitchen and dining area. The shelter provides additional outdoor living space for the family to congregate.

Extensive glazing provides ample natural light and panoramic views of the surrounding scenery.

The existing structures were updated with a material palette that included natural aging patinas, raw steel doors and shelves, zinc countertops, and wood-paneled and beamed ceilings—juxtaposed with clean and modern smooth plaster finishes.

The kitchen was updated with high-end finishes and a sleek contemporary style.

The main house was given a contemporary look by way of a metal roof and a black exterior.
