The fully-integrated, light-filled kitchen is a favorite of Nora's, who spends time here cooking and entertaining.

The original home, built in 1965, “was really interesting and very awkward at the same time,” recalls architect Steven Stept. While the placement of the building on the site was ideal and there was a tremendous view, much of it was blocked by the eaves of the roof.

The updated kitchen pairs Heath tiles with a La Cornue range. A Bluff City pendant by Roll & Hill hangs above the central island, which is capped by Porcelanosa countertops. The Vig bar stools are by BoConcept.

The guest bathroom features bright turquoise Arcilla Field tiles by Ann Sacks and brass fixtures and fittings that will develop a patina over time. A skylight above the shower provides natural light and brightens the room.
