Like all the interior rooms, the furniture elements in the master bedroom have been built into the architecture, making efficient use of the compact space.

One of two bedrooms on the first level, the master bedroom sits at the back of the addition. A series of vertical window panes run from floor-to-ceiling and across the entire space, framing views of the treetops and looking out over the lush backyard.

Whitewashed spruce rafters in the bedroom express the grain of the wood and serve as a canvas for light play.

Layered facade materials allow for cross ventilation, protect from the sun, and add privacy. In the master bedroom loft, wood screens create an opportunity to be outdoors without becoming too beaten by the sun, and white curtains create another gauzy partition.

In the master bedroom, Leger bedside tables by Rodolfo Dordoni for Minotti sit alongside a Lifesteel bed by Antonio Citterio for Flexform in the master bedroom. The linens are by Coyuchi. Glass sliders lead to a large deck.
