In the living room of her Seattle home, Marita White combined Hygge and West’s “Bloom Wallpaper” with Sherwin Williams “Hopeful” on the wainscot, and Clare’s “Rosé Season” on the ceiling.

The texture of this off-white tile allows light to catch at different angles, producing a graphic pattern along the tall wall behind the kitchen cabinets. The light gray of the cabinets and white countertops make for a clean and modern composition.

A Boston loft in a former textile factory receives a minimal, efficient kitchen at the hands of Bunker Workshop. The client wanted to be able to prepare meals efficiently, so a red steel pegboard backsplash lets him easily access cooking utensils. The cabinets are IKEA.

Vehicle Wall Art supplied the loft’s most unusual feature, a 1965 Fiat Nuova 500 F mounted upside-down on the ceiling. Magnetic panels of blackened and waxed steel display smaller artworks. The floating stairs replaced a ramshackle set of steps.

Even the bathroom grants views. Sleek wood elements complement the white-and-black fixtures and details.

A Murphy bed folds up for additional living space, and sliders provide access to the deck.

The open-layout design is completely custom. The office area looks toward downtown Los Angeles through floor-to-ceiling windows and sliders.

The apartment’s most striking feature is a custom wall and ceiling mural by Calico Wallpaper, inspired by Vancouver’s Stanley Park. The Asher bed is by Rove Concepts, the sconces are Pearl Modern Wall Sculpture by Cedar & Moss, and the bedside tables are from Crate & Barrel. A mohair throw by Bronte Moon falls across Frette linens.

“We tried to open up views to the the side yard as much as possible, while placing windows in areas where you don’t necessarily need to draw your blinds,” says Radutny. This collection of irons belonged to the client’s father, who was an industrial designer.
