Jason custom made the shared desk with white oak legs and a plywood and laminate top. The chairs are a limited edition all-black finish from Laura Davidson, and the shelves are from Shelfology.

Carie uses the loft for a variety of purposes: watching TV, practicing yoga, or an extra guest bed when needed.

A new wood-framed door with a full-lite lets in more light into the living room, and allows better sight lines to the front porch.

The dark, timber-clad walls and ceilings recall the building's pastoral heritage while presenting a calming oasis for guests to sleep, read, and unwind.
