The dining room is an eclectic mix of styles, with the traditional smooth walls and heavy timber beams of the Pueblo-style architecture contrasted with Mid-Century furniture, an ornate chandelier, contemporary artwork, and a sculpture by a local artisan.

“I envision people writing their books, music, refuelling their creative flow,” says Castillero. He should know about its energizing power more than anyone, really: it brought him back to his love of architecture, after all. “It’s truly my new happy place.”

Inside the space, new vertical steel windows, a Henrybuilt valet, and elements of the Opencase system create a very luxurious experience.

A result of a small gap between appliances, the Vertical Bar Block has since become a signature example of how Henrybuilt systems are architecturally integrated to maximize every bit of usable space.

Designed as an experiential retreated for the Henrybuilt team, founder and CEO Scott Hudson explains, "We had the idea to stop doing showrooms and to start doing houses that our staff can travel to, and live in, and actually live with the product and learn by experiencing it how to improve it."

Our kitchen reflects this thought by using materials from nature to carry the design. In Scandinavia, we have a tradition of inviting nature inside, blurring the boundaries between what is inside and outside," says Bjerre-Poulsen.

The kitchen’s marble counter was the only thing brought in from Santiago—all other materials were sourced locally.
