In the Coral Room, on the top floor of the tower, the hues range from dusty pink to burgundy.

In the bathroom, the cast iron tub is a Paris flea market find, and the cement floor tiles were designed by Alix and made in Istanbul. “I love to use mosaic tiles in gradations of color,” she says.

A concrete staircase leads to a newly added mezzanine that contains Onur and Alix’s bathroom and a small sauna. A gloss-sealed MDF closet doubles as a headboard for the couple’s floating concrete bed. Behind the closet is the girls’ bedroom and bath.

In the primary bedroom, daughters Ellis and Panda play on pieces of a 1972 Camaleonda sofa by Mario Bellini. A Davide Groppi Moon pendant, made of Japanese paper, hangs overhead.

New storage, multifunctional pegs, and pegboards help a New York City lawyer make the most of his 710-square-foot apartment. In the foyer, StudioKCA turned a closet into a valet area.

This 450-square-foot apartment includes an origami-like desktop that unfolds to reveal a perforated-steel divider that allows the passage of computer cables hidden inside the office compartment. This transformer-like cabinet helps maximize limited square footage.

This children’s room and playroom caters to one family’s young kids with built-in cabinetry that allows the mess to be hidden away. Hufft designed this marker-board table, which was cut in the shape of Missouri. The ceiling features abstract details from Thomas Hart Benton paintings.

A stone double vanity and steam shower complete the principal bathroom.

Walls made of translucent laminated bronze mesh glass enclose the en suite bathroom.

Stairs in the kitchen lead up to a motorized skylight and the roof. Both the staircase design and an adjacent screen filter natural light entering from above.

The space also features built-in seating along one side. Wide-plank European oak floors run throughout the home's three levels.

Melissa MacDonald Metalworks filters natural light from the skylight above. The home's inverted floor plan places each of the three bedrooms on the ground floor and the main living areas upstairs.

This contemporary home designed by MAK Studio is now up for sale in San Francisco's Dolores Heights neighborhood. A gated parking pad in front of the structure is bordered by a walkway from the street, which leads down past a sunken patio and living wall to the main entrance.
