The bedroom features a custom bed and mahogany-and-cane closet by Hugo. The Alualéatoure chair by Hélène de Saint Lager is used as a nightstand with a pink ceramic lamp by Entler Studio.

The Moliving cabins are prefabricated steel structures insulated with spray foam and clad in composite wood panels.

The units are installed on a site in Hurley, New York, overlooking Twin Lakes, and some of them will include private hot tubs.

This particular cabin may be done, but Castillero and Reed are just getting started. “I like the idea of working on something and tweaking and perfecting it,” says Castillero, who is now envisioning building a network for Hideouts, each iteration improving on the next to provide an even better getaway for creatives to disconnect with the world and reconnect with nature.

The Hideout lives on the same five-acre property as another guesthouse Castillero owns, The Woodlands.
