The WorkPod is available in five designs ranging between 80 and 105 square feet. The lineup includes two models that switch between a battery power source and sunlight.

The home sits in a row of Victorian townhouses in a conservation area. "We had to be sensitive at the front, but we could be a bit more playful at the back," says the architect.

The architects designed a picturesque texture for the hillside that provides a stimulating visual landscape. The recinto stone—seen left—is rhythmically divided by small ridges that also mark the passage of time with their shadows.

Maria Milans del Bosch’s Catskills home is attuned to the changing seasons. Sunlight pours into the double-height living room, where a Stûv fireplace and radiant floors keep the space warm in winter.
