Designed by José Guedes Cruz, César Marques, and Marco Marinho of the Portugal-based firm Guedes Cruz Architects, The Wall House is laid out in an open-box plan, and is fitted with plenty of glass windows to enhance the synergy between its interior and exterior spaces.

A 305-square foot  addition on the south side of the cabin accommodates a dining area complete with sliders to the lake. The cabin is 2,665 square feet, including the new roof deck atop the addition. New, large windows  afford gracious views of the lake from the living room and primary suite.

The building is unremarkable from the outside, preserved to match the working-class homes all around. The  architects insulated the roof and replaced the vernacular terra cotta tiles.
