Los Angeles's Stahl House served as inspiration for the home, which capitalized on its views of the Baltic Sea with floor-to-ceiling windows.

"We didn't want to put a lot of furniture out there," says Terry of the east terrace, adding that they sometimes bring the dining table outside for meals. "You can make it work with whatever you want."

Throughout the home, floor-to-ceiling windows and doors frame views and allow for indoor/outdoor living.

Designed by Vincent Appel, principal of Of Possible Architectures, and built by Kent Hicks Construction, this single-story residence in the Berkshires of Massachusetts frames the surrounding landscape.

Exposed wooden beams continue into the kitchen, complete with all new appliances.

The soaring, vaulted ceiling in the living room enhances the home's overall sense of space.

A custom ash table by Urban Lumber Company sits behind the living area inside. “It’s a south-facing slope, so there’s exposure to sun. The nifty part of the porch design is that it provides shade without obstructing the view out to the lake,” says resident Dan Curry.

The windows in the living area provide views out to the treetops. A rattan loveseat from Golden & Pine softens one corner of the space.

Owners Leah and Dan Curry and their son enjoy the semi-enclosed porch that looks out onto the hillside. The floor-to-ceiling windows are by Ozark Mountain Glass and Razorback Ironworks. The fireplace surround is also by Razorback Ironworks.
