Previously, this quirky space had a pantry, broom closet, and doors leading to the basement. Now, this niche houses a butler's pantry with a custom dry bar, wine fridge, and storage cabinets awash in Farrow & Ball Studio Green with a Soapstone countertop.

Before: The den is where the family retreats to watch television or play video games, so they wanted the room to feel snug and encompassing.

Zachary wrapped the den in moody Limerence wallpaper from House of Hackney.

Since there was plenty of storage, Zachary took down the upper cabinets and replaced them with a Logan wall rack from Lostine.

The existing cabinets were painted Card Room Green by Farrow & Ball.

Zachary’s father—a fine woodworker and production designer for television—built the walnut unit. The beadboard backing brings texture to the display and syncs with other applications in the house.

A cast-iron clawfoot tub from Vintage Tub & Bath received a bold red paint job.
