With a career that spanned three decades, architect A. Quincy Jones was prolific to say the least. Having produced designs for thousands of Eichler homes, the famed midcentury-modern architect also contributed to Sproul Homes’ San Luis Rey Estates, a small tract community completed in 1963.

One of his more modest designs among the development’s model homes include the “Lido” plan—a light-filled, post-and-beam home originally designed with three bedrooms and two baths that embraces indoor/outdoor living throughout.
