The downstairs guest suite has its own indoor/outdoor patio, protected by a slatted timber screen.

The tile looks vintage, but was selected and installed as part of the renovation. On the vanity: Kristall Tumbler in Blush by Decor Walther from the Oliver Thom Store.

The large bowl is a 1960's Italian Bitossi ceramic by Aldo Londi. The smaller bowl is a 1960's enamel art bowl from Rudi Rocket.

Alaina and Geraldine love to hang by the pool, host dinners, and throw dance parties. Now that their ’50s family home has been refreshed by Studio Prineas, the fun can really begin.

The renovated kitchen incorporates black vertical timber details contrasting with the use of colour.

1960’S ENAMEL ART BOWL FROM RUDI ROCKET

The cabinets double as art when closed, revealing spacious storage areas when opened.

Here, the pitcher is a 1960’s West German Vessel from Rudi Rocket, and the Kristall Soap Dish is by Walther from the Oliver Thom Store.

The decking was installed to raise the level of the outdoor area so that the top of the pool coping would be flush with the deck. The Thiery side table is by Kartell from Space Furniture, the summer swivel chair is by Grazia and Co.

The bathroom's large windows brighten the room, while encouraging long, lazy soaks in the bathtub.

The living area is oriented around a floating window seat crafted from oak. "We wanted a place for guests to comfortably sit, read, and reflect in the beautiful Colorado surroundings," says Tarah. "We sourced the perfect slab of white oak from a local mill. We kept the edges raw and used a light, matte finish that highlighted the natural beauty without it being over saturated. I wanted it to feel as unfinished and natural as possible."
