The interior was designed to feel like you walked through a portal into a home. We've had dozens of friends stay on the land and help with and collaborate on various projects; the least we can do is offer a hot shower, cold beer, and bathroom unlike any you'd expect to find when you hear "outhouse."

The house's ceiling was hewn from Douglas fir, which gives off a warm glow. The rafters were designed to emulate the look of strong ceiling beams.

Five cabins are located in the pine forest surrounding the main house. “The design for both the main house and cabins at Saltwater Farm resulted from studying traditional Pacific Northwest cabins and refining that vernacular language with one of Scandinavian minimalism,” says designer Taylor Bode.
