A local artist created this large-scale mural beneath a mature tree. The children of the home have commandeered this space with its climbing wall, tree ropes and hanging swing and chair.

The floating vanity is surrounded by glazing; the result is dramatic horizontality.

MAIN BEDROOM - 750 square foot vaulted plywood suite, with polished concrete terrazzo floors, clerestory views of the nearby boulder spires, and floor to ceiling windows looking out to the Mojave desert and the twinkling city lights far below.

Amir and Chi retained the house's flat roof and reworked the fenestration in the section at right, which was a later addition.

The primary bathroom was completely redone, with a floating vanity finished in travertine from Elements Room and a freestanding tub and faucets by Kohler.

Windows stretch from the counter to the ceiling to maximize the view. The difference in ceiling height gives the kitchen a cozier feel.

Now positioned as they are at the top of the home, the living room and dining room have ten-foot high ceilings and wide open views of the water.
