Phoenix plays with the family dog next to a vintage J-149 sofa by Erik Ole Jørgensen in the living area. The couple’s full-size bed is tucked behind semi-sheer curtains in the corner.

The seating area in front of the guest bedroom doubles as a perfect spot for cooling down during sauna sessions. The large decks were all built by Jussi-Pekka and his father.

In the primary bedroom, custom sliding doors in metal and frosted glass provide the perfect partitions to create privacy without blocking light. Hidden barn door hardware allows the doors to slide open and closed.

In the living room, the black circle chairs are by Haddock Studio, the firm that did the redesign.

Modern Tiny Living provides a web app that you can use to price out their standard models with any desired upgrades. If none of them suit, they offer to quote out custom homes for $250.

The other side of the room has a second workstation. Curtains can be dropped from the ceiling to protect from the rain coming in through the open aperture.
