In the dining area, a Noguchi Akari 21A pendant hangs above chairs and a table found at a thrift store.

Rounded elements serve as a visual refrain throughout the house, as in the kitchen’s cabinet pulls and in one of the living room’s windows.

In the kitchen, minimalism prevails. Jared notes that the use of plywood was loosely inspired by design seen in the 1960s Sonoma County Sea Ranch community. "It's something that one of my heroes, [architect] Barbara Bestor has done very well," he says.

A custom 12-person dining table sits in the kitchen, where new white oak cabinetry and open shelving keep things light and neutral.

The kitchen opens to a cozy living area located in the shell of the original home.

Several doors provide an entrance through the private outdoors space.

In the living room, a Malm fireplace sits on a yellow powder-coated steel table that matches the bookshelf ladder leading to the loft. Jagoda designed the table with space underneath to store firewood.
