The stoves offered by Redwood Outdoors are all produced by Harvia, a manufacturer based in Finland. The standard wall-mounted electric heater can be upgraded to a wood stove or the larger, free-standing model shown above for around $1k.

The Rio Sectional is handmade in North Carolina, and is constructed from individual modules that create a dynamic sense of rhythm in a space. Here, the sectional wraps around a trio of Kent Coffee Tables, which are handcrafted in India from hammered brass and painted glass.

The Rose Pendant features rows of hand-pressed clay petals made by South African collective The Handmade Story. The impactful yet elegant texture is characteristic of the new BR Home range, which celebrates natural materials and raw beauty. Unsurprisingly, the ofuro is a favorite part of the home for the young family. “They use the ofuro all the time, just as they said they would!” says Katich of his clients.

The ofuro was intentionally recessed, to avoid blocking sightlines to the backyard. “We wanted to be able to step down into the ofuro, so that the volume of the tub would not block natural light,” says Katich.

“Compact spaces are hard, and narrow ones are even harder,” says architect Kip Katich of the 16-and-a-half-foot-wide cottage. “Every design decision impacts the choreography of a narrow space and how useful it can be.”

The first of two newly-introduced organizational volumes, the white entry box contains coat and shoe storage for the family, along with concealed HVAC components.

Although aux boxes were originally designed as detached one-room structures of around 100 square feet, they now offer the larger Model 240 and Model 620. (The model number denotes its footprint in square feet).

“ It’s not spaceship stuff. It’s here now, and it can save you money,” says Jeff.
