Stowing the queen-size Room Makers Murphy bed by SICO frees up access to custom built-in cabinets and pull-down closet rods by Hafele that illuminate when the door is opened.

A knotted curtain bisects the sleeping area from the kitchen. The compact studio includes a wardrobe rack, modular walls, and a storage-filled bed.

David built a record player nook into the corner. "We keep our record collection in the garage on the property and every week swap out 20 records," he explains. "We were so close to getting rid of our collection, but are so happy we were able to squeeze them in."

Kille's oldest son currently lives in the space, but moves back to the main house when family come to visit.

There are more than 1,200 window panes in the Kellogg Doolittle House. Each week, Vugrin drove to a local glass shop to pick up finished panes and drop off more patterns—and $5,000 in cash. Only the Doolittles know the total cost of the house; new owner Scott Leonard almost certainly paid millions for it.

The moody tiled shower in the primary bathroom is homeowner Tomasz Wagner's favorite spot in the home. "I have yelled to Amy, 'I love this shower!' while I'm in there," he admits.

In a small space with two cats, litter box solutions were top of mind. Hanna and Sims created an unobtrusive understair solution for Gus and Baloo.

The original bathroom was spartan and industrial, with little more than a cheap shower, sink, and toilet. Hanna and Sims updated it for a clean, modern look.

Baloo and Gus in the built-in bench in the studio, which, according to Amy and Tomasz, is one of their favorite spots to hang out.

Another water-saving project in Menlo Park includes a rock bed with succulents.

The covered porch is furnished with comfortable seats that allow the residents to engage with neighbors, while the timber screen helps maintain privacy for the interior.

Back in the house refresh with a beverage and begin to enjoy the current local art works on exhibit, from exotic hand-blown glass pieces to intricately carved wooden sculptures, to limited series prints on the walls.... The Barn Gallery showcases local artists with a changing evolving exhibit. Guests can connect with the art and the artist. Glass topiary artist Janis Miltenberger featured in our debut exhibit. However, each time our guests return there is a good chance it will all look quite different.

Casa Campanario’s simple and clean geometry is matched with a pared-back material palette of concrete, wood, and stone.

Slatted Tzalama wood screens provide privacy and light control as well as a pop of contrast against the concrete structure.
