September Studio's Heather Daragon designed this tranquil bedroom as a place to "slow down and embrace quietude." The occupant is meant to be a place to "reflect, set intentions, and find serenity in a chaotic world. Surrounded by materials that offer warmth and comfort, she’s able to find harmony in the stillness this room provides."

The summit of Maungawhau (Mt Eden) can be seen from the master bedroom and the timber-decked terrace that occupies part of the ground-floor roof.

The revamp also comprised of reworking the layout of the master suite. However, the windows and original wood ceilings were maintained for warmth and light.

The Slow offers much more than boutique accommodations, steeping guests in a curated experience that blends art across several disciplines.

The fireplace wall, a Resolution: 4 signature, is made of 14-gauge hot-rolled steel panels with storage components in one-eighth welded steel. On one side is a pivoting privacy panel that allows the guest wing to be closed off. Art attaches to the metal with magnets.
