A large circular window adorns one of the home’s two bedrooms. “I was drawn to certain shapes, and wanted to see how they translate,” says Mila. “I used a lot of graph paper, and as soon as it looked proportional and right, I was like, ‘Okay, this is going to be it,’” she shares of her experimental design process.

In addition to the redesigned main house, Mila Morris’ Yucca Valley residence includes a tiny home, studio, and pool. Since much of the lot’s acreage sloped down into the canyon, some of the land was flattened to add the pool, along with a concrete bench designed by Mila.
