The kitchen was the most important room for the couple, who love to cook and spend a lot of time in the room. In the budget, they prioritized custom cabinetry and a sixteen-foot-long custom concrete island by Cement Elegance. Helland Architecture added large picture windows to overlook the yard.

Built for $148,500, Casa Montaña was manufactured in a Madrid factory before being assembled in a mountainous, coastal region in Northwestern Spain.

The bedrooms, bathrooms, and an office nook are upstairs. Chelsea used budget-friendly pre-engineered wood flooring from Stuga Astrid on this level.

The house features 360-degree views and is “truly unbelievable at night,” says Susan. “It is just a blanket of stars.”

The bathroom includes a Carrera marble mosaic hex floor, and Hammer Topaz wall tile by Wow, as well as a tub by Kohler with a Moen faucet — all installed by Scott's son, Gabriel Schultz.
