Picking up on shades of blue used elsewhere, a blue cement tile from Zia Tile brightens the primary bathroom. The shower is lined with tile from Daltile.

A new window (right) brings light into the lower-level office

Repurposed Douglas fir (leftovers from concrete formwork from the house build) was used on the ceiling, with a Velux skylight. The custom Douglas Fir bookshelf was designed and fabricated by Kevin, with a desktop made from salvaged pine by Vintage Mill Werks and a Hay stool.

The shed has since become Kevin's office for Tiny Monster Design, nicknamed the Casita.

Before: Kevin's first project was to rebuild the garden shed.

Matte black subway tile from Home Depot surrounds the shower and Kohler tub. The ceiling is natural Douglas fir.

The custom natural oak vanity was fabricated by Greenpiece Furniture, with a quartz countertop in ‘Serena Gold’ by Vadara. The freestanding tub is by Kohler.

In the bathroom, Kevin specified large format porcelain floor tile with staggered 2x8 ceramic Clé Tile on the walls.

The removal of two partition walls at the master bedroom en suite exposes the full band of windows, which in turn illuminates the interior well.

Round elements in the master bedroom en suite include a roundish sink from Falper.

In the master bathroom, a taupe-coloured Dafne bathtub from Cielo creates a cohesive composition with the neutral colour palette.

The guest bathroom features tap ware designed by John Pawson for Cacoon and a bowl-like washbasin from Cielo.

The all-white home presents a surprise in the powder room with dark tiles from Complementto and navy blue sanded grout from Grout360.

The console in the living room is designed as a fun and useful element.
