Set in the Oxfordshire village of Ambrosden, the two-story home offers a quiet city escape all while being just a 30-minute drive from Oxford and an hour train ride from London.

Upstairs, the space is made cozy and comfortable using dark tones and cedar panels on the wall and ceiling. “Initially, we looked at adding a floor to our house. We didn’t start out by saying, ‘Let’s build a tower in our yard.’ But it’s perfect,” says Jess.

The brass handle of the Fontbunker’s glass pivot door is by by New Zealand artist Ben Pearce.

Downstairs, oak parquet flooring, built-in shelving, and rimu wood cabinetry create a warm work environment.
