“I love this low-level stair window. It’s at head height when you’re at the bottom of the stairs; it gives you a glimpse of, and connection to, the garden outside. Most of the windows capture what I’d call ‘hero shots,’ but some, like this one, are completely unexpected.”

The kitchen underwent the most dramatic change, being relocated to the back of the house adjacent to the living room. White Oak floors and casework and new Kolbe windows warm up the space. The pendant light is from Design Within Reach, and the bar stools are custom from Sean Woolsey.

Bedrosians tile covers the walls and floor, with sconces by Kelly Wearstler for Visual Comfort and California Faucets.

Millwork Details

Josh kept the original Pella windows and Andersen doors and painted the great room’s cedar interior Extra White from Sherwin-Williams. Kalispel upholstery covers a sectional from Dania.

Blend Outdoor Design oversaw the updated landscaping as well.

Blend Outdoor Design in Spokane oversaw the design of a new deck and fire feature.

Dining area opens to exterior lounge and firepit. Steel and maple butcherblock staircase with stone wall and floor to ceiling glass enclosure.

The small sleeping loft integrates plaster niches for storage.

The bathrooms’ white walls and wood cabinetry keep the areas light, bright, and airy.
