The sink units in one of the bathrooms neatly brings together all the work done by Skye Stone Studio and 56 North Kitchens, with the doors being leftover pieces of the oak laminate. The View Mirror is a Soren Lassen design for Audo Copenhagen. The shower and sink fittings are by Hansgrohe.

The kitchen lights are Eximia by Whitecroft Lighting, setting a semi-industrial mood that links to the Skye Stone Studio terrazzo counters.

The new stainless-steel kitchen is fitted with cabinetry and appliances and includes a floating island with a burner and drawers to conceal pots and pans. It’s set on wheels so Martin and Andrew can rotate it to free up floor space as needed while entertaining.

A recent kitchen renovation brings upgraded convenience.

The ceramics studio was built on the posts and beams of an abandoned pergola from the old estate. Its new enclosure consists of a roof elevated off of the original rafters, and glazing applied directly to shelves that are suspended between the original columns.

Fung + Blatt Architects updated a San Marino midcentury home originally designed by Calvin Straub. Besides renovating the main house, pictured here, the designers added a series of additional pavilions in the landscape.

Wang and the owners were meticulous about the cabinetry. They hand-selected each piece of the oak veneer to line up perfectly across each front.

A Bosch stove is now where the sink used to be. The fixtures are by Hansgrohe, rift-sawn red oak cabinetry by GLN, and countertops by Caesarstone.

The contrasting style of the original home and the 70s-era addition come together in this space, now with white oak wall paneling and a twenty-foot-long, seven-foot-wide custom sofa designed by Office of Tangible Space. The painting is by Kathan Zerzan.

Yuan added skylights throughout the house to bring more light into the interior, including this one over the central island, which also has pendants by In Common With. The floors are by D’Hanis Terracotta Tile.
