The home is meant to be a gathering place for friends and family, making it so groups of three to 20 can feel at home. A long banquet of seats makes that possible, too.

It took four years for DeWit and his family to build this property, which was constructed from repurposed materials found on the land.

Polished concrete with radiant heating comprise the cabin’s interior floors, and its ceilings are made of Douglas fir. Jones designed the custom windows, which were fabricated by contractor Ian Maclean.

In the bathroom, Martin selected Heath Ceramics Conclave Diamond tile in citrus green for the glass-enclosed Kohler tub, which is outfitted with nickel Kallista fixtures.
