The client's love of rock climbing was reflected in the custom climbing wall, applied to the expressive outdoor chimney.
The triangular window from the bedroom looks out towards the street. The window includes a custom blind for shading. A zinc awning covers the front door.
Guests can buy fresh cheese, milk, and eggs from the neighbors.
Designed by architect Tomislav Soldo, the Gorski Kotar House features a simple pitched roof and Siberian larch cladding with a black wood tar finish. This traditional treatment protects the natural materials from the elements in the Croatian countryside.
