Completed in 2009, Taiwan's Taichung Convention Center, by MAD Architects, appears almost like a natural feature of the topography. Though mountains and valleys inspired its form, the building is a feat of technology: The building is clad in a pleated-skin system that provides air to the building while minimizing energy consumption and using solar energy.
