The same white oak flooring continues on this level, combined with built-in storage by Kevin, using Ikea cabinets with a custom natural oak countertop leading into the dressing room.
The main bedroom was the final piece of the puzzle—a blank slate they could design slowly and intentionally. “It’s the luxury of doing it last,” says Jean. “By then, you actually know how you want to live.”
Chevron-patterned brick tiles define the hallway and wet rooms.
Florençon closed one of the doorways into the bedroom and turned the space into a closet and built-in bookcase.
The floor is terrazzo-effect rubber flooring from Nora with an acoustic underlay. A cherry wood veneer bookcase for cookbooks has been inserted between the kitchen cabinets and a storage room for coats and shoes.
