All the rooms share the same simple layout. Some cabins are predominantly black, others, white. They are meant to feel clean and spacious, with floor-to-ceiling windows that bring in light and views from the outside. Designer Jorge Gracia of Gracia Studio created all the custom fixtures, from the lighting to the bed frames to the bedside tables.

The master bedroom, located on the far eastern side of the home, captures some of the harbor view as well. The small exterior area isn’t part of the veranda but a small private balcony for the master bedroom. The bed is by Jardan, the side table is from Anibou, and the chair is Hans Wegner's Circle chair for PP Møbler.

When planning the renovation, the owner gave Standard Studio complete freedom to develop the design. In the unconventional bedroom, the bed sits against a black feature wall, with a prominent freestanding bathtub on the opposite side. In addition to the wood beams, all original windows from the old sugar refinery were preserved, to keep the "soul" of the building intact.
