A custom media console in the living room creates yet another space-saving solution to maximize the unit’s small footprint.

The hall workspace features a pegboard wall and a built-in bench with storage, in addition to open shelving. For the desk chair, Spot Lab refurbished and reupholstered a vintage chair that had been left on the street.

Warwas finished the high-ceilinged ADU kitchen with a skylight and a large square window that fills the space with natural light. The artworks are by Antonio.

Ceramic pendants by Courtney Duncan and a yellow sculpture by Antonio join a Hay sectional in the living room. Antonio crafted the stained glass panel at left.

Displaying canvases by Steven Criqui (left) and Antonio Adriano Puleo (right), the transformed living room features a sculptural ceiling accented by a grate that brings light from the skylight in the expanded attic space above. Puleo designed the geometric print on the bench, which was made by James Melinat of Reigns Studio, who also built the custom cabinetry and bookshelves. Trifold sliders from Fleetwood open to the rear yard.

The common area was opened to create large, interconnected spaces.

Kím designed all of the cabinetry in the kitchen, which features Venice terrazzo tile from Concrete Collaborative.

In the living room, an Artek daybed is covered in Helios dark green fabric from Johanna Gullichsen.

A built-in bench provides storage and the window was restored to its original dimensions. The wall light is the Ceramic Disc Surface Mount by In Common With.

Shahane enlarged the ensuite bathroom, co-opting closet space from the other bedroom to do so, and carved out more closet space.

There's now two doors to the back, where there was just one before, for better circulation and flow to the rear deck. The sink has a Dornbracht faucet.

The white cabinets are from Ikea, topped with ABC Stone Afyon White, honed. Artwork by Kristin Texeira sits atop.

The bedroom in "Cabin 3" is positioned to face north for ambient natural light.
