Bold Chandeliers That Light Up Their Rooms
From sculptural to minimal, these are eight chandelier options for the modern romantic.
The kitchen is “the most exciting room [in the house],” in Sofie's mind. However, the minimal gray interior makes choosing furnishings and accessories extremely important. “You have to be very careful setting the scene, like in a theater.” The dining table and chairs are by Poul Kjaerholm and the light is Ingo Maurer's Zettel’z chandelier.
Hollis designed the kitchen--which features a Boffi kitchen system and Gaggenau appliances-- as three zones. The first centers around the stainless-steel-and-Zodiac-stone island, which is topped by a custom beaded chandelier by South African company TeamTwo Design. This zone functions as a place for food preparation, cooking, serving, and socializing. The second zone is the clean-up area, and the third is the bar.Photo by
