The design objective was to update an existing estate – the owners’ childhood home – to suit the taste and lifestyle of her new young family. Though located on a large site in an established residential neighbourhood, the existing two storey, 3800 SF home was a 30 years old, with outdated interiors and a poor use of space. The home required a renovation to suit the family’s modern aesthetic and lifestyle.

The clients design aesthetic is contemporary and warm, with a touch of mid-century modern. *At the time these photos were taken, the clients had only just moved in. Since then, they have continued to furnish the home in the mid-century style, adding art and items collected from their travels in order to make their house a home.
