Upstairs, the primary bedroom is dressed in a calming blue, complete with bespoke wooden detailing and cabinetry. A similar palette can be found in the ensuite bath.

A look at one of four double-height bedrooms in the tallest structure. Each one comes with a “tapanco,” or loft, for sleeping or reading.

A charcoal triptych by Gina Jacupke hangs above the Living Divani bed in the master suite.

The second bedroom, in all white, offers a clean slate, allowing for versatility in decor and the ability to use bold decor and furniture.

On this bed, and throughout the house, Cultiver linens. The quilt tapestry is by Louise Grey and the side table is Klein Agency.

In the guest room, an Ethnicraft bedside table sits beside a Floyd bed. The wall sconce is from Human Home and the art from Poster Club. Shop Territory wall hangings add texture, and roman shades from the Shade Store envelope the windows.

The ribbon window fills the primary bedroom with light.

In the master bedroom, Leger bedside tables by Rodolfo Dordoni for Minotti sit alongside a Lifesteel bed by Antonio Citterio for Flexform in the master bedroom. The linens are by Coyuchi. Glass sliders lead to a large deck.

Fabrikate upholstered the headboard in kvdrat suede, once again choosing green as the dominant shade. Blackbutt veneer was also used for the nightstands.

The wood grain pattern is contiguous across the cabinet faces and the wall. Integrated lighting means a small built-in shelf is enough for bedside essentials.

The Patels’ daughters, Maya and Ayla, play in Ayla’s bedroom, which features a corner window seat framed in walnut. The roller shades are from The Shade Store.

Design-build firm StudioMET helped Sunil and Shelly Patel create a multigenerational home in Houston. The brick wall in the living area is accented with bricks salvaged from the original house on the site. The lounge chairs, sectional, and ottoman/ table are from Article. In the dining area, a pendant from Avenue Lighting hangs above a custom copper table. The draperies are from The Shade Store.
