In the new master bathroom, the roll-under vanity allows Derek to get close to the sink when he gets ready in the morning.

In an effort to keep costs within budget without sacrificing looks, the fully gutted and renovated kitchen features IKEA cabinetry framework with shaker-style fronts by Semihandmade. The cabinets were painted Farrow & Ball Pigeon.

In the new bathroom, Heath Ceramics tiles were used in the shower alongside cement tile flooring from Clé Tile.

Houle designed the ofuro tub in the master bath to mesh with the home’s tallowwood wall paneling. The Ikea sink is outfitted with Vola faucets.

The ensuite bathroom in the master has a dual vanity and a vintage claw-foot tub installed in the open shower.

Modern bathroom vanities with undermount sinks require a larger space. This unique bathroom layout works perfectly with this large vanity.

In the master bathroom, the Smiths worked with a Boston-based company, Artaic, on the mosaic tile.
