This photo and the next are two very different modern bathroom vanities with mirrors. Here, a Rejuvenation mirror with brass accents reflects those throughout the guesthouse, including in the Waterworks taps and Workstead pendants.

"The owners have a love of blackbirds and had coveted this Indi wallpaper from Trove for years," add the architects. "The design team came up with the idea of applying it to the ceiling and wrapping it into the continuous skylight so the illusion of birds flying through could come to life. All who enter the room are surprised by the birds reflected in the mirror."

A peek inside the bathroom. This space is lined with matte white tiles and pale gray grout.

A new bathroom is located just before a step down to the living areas.

“The water waste from the shower and the kitchen irrigate the interior garden,” LLaumett says. “The toilets have their own patio, which provides them with ventilation and natural light.” Black Marazzi tiles cover the wall.

Now, the bathroom is a beautiful blend of white, wood, and brass. The Lucent mirror and Aquitaine pendant lighting in burnished brass are from RH Modern.

The bathroom fixtures include Waterworks, Duravit, Kohler, and Geberit.

The bright master bedroom, with vessel sinks and Caesarstone counters, also enjoys sweeping city views.

Emerald-green penny tiles line the walls in one of the sleek baths.

The view into the bedroom shows closet. Cabinetry has been integrated on both sides, and the walls have been painted with Benjamin Moore Flint.

The bespoke, encaustic tiles continue in the bathroom.

The spa-like Japanese bath has a strong connection with the outdoors.
